More natural escape

Today was yet another beautiful day.

We’ve been experiencing some rare weather these last three days, for which all of us are thankful. Packed a lunch for the girls, bundled everyone up and headed for yet another Kirkland beach park.

This park is situated near some offices and a bunch of beachside condos (of course). Quiet and secluded, the park offers a home of sorts to quite a family of feathered friends.

I suspect this is quite the party place during the summer, with a platform near the beach for avid sunbathers and eager teenagers to swim out to.

Spring is rearing its sunny head, but winter is unwilling to go, evidence of its reluctant departure turning tips of grass blades white and glazing vehicles left outside overnight.

By some miracle, I wish it would snow one last time before spring does come.

Just for the kids – and the kid in all of us.
